UKCIA has just been alerted to a serious contamination problem by an article in the New England Journal of Medicine

Cannabis is being contaminated with lead, several cases of lead poisoning have been attributed to this in Germany.

By all means start a thread about how to give up, although the issue here is the government should be doing something top prevent this contamination, it's only happening because of prohibition.

ask about ethanol. it really should be no class, but since now that the Legalise Cannabis Alliance has basicly legalised cannabis because of this ethanol oil scandal that every one is either in on or fooled by...meaning that ethanol is in alcohol by the way it is fermented, so it looks like alcohol is bad for you...and ethanol was started by the oil TYCOON... and ethanol was put into cigarettes to make them look bad for us...and colleges suggest alcohol is the problem...hospitals like the idea of making money off of ethanol too...bush, an oil tycoon kid himself, is the president of the usa...so legalise cannabis? yeah, after the world is nuked with an ethanol bomb, it doesn't make much difference. fuck it, it wasn't my doing. If I had it my way, I'd be chillin in my hemp stick longhouse smokin a bowl. dressed in hemp. reaking of pure Cannabis.
I have seen too many people die. fucking ethanol addicted skanks worshiping their gang bannger money...they're actually the mafia, not a gang from Detroit. Might as well be in my own gang. what does it matter anyway?

has been common in the environment since man invented smelting. The Romans are supposed to have used lead to sweeten wine. Lead is most dangerous to young people. Do not allow children under the age of 14 to smoke dope.

Lead was used in Makeup in the 1600s's-1700's this made the chicks look very pale...

Be very worried about lead in weed!

The language you use, even if you think it's kool, retro-infects the subject you are thinking about and thus your mind. (The word DOPE applied to cannabis (riefer) is a slander probably first used by entertainers who were getting money under the table from the tobackgo industry.)

1. If the word "dope" means anything at all, it might as well mean opiate (do + ope, get it?). Since the 60's it has been agreed by all scientists that cannabis is not an opiate. (However, just to get some perspective on this problem, we remember that since the 70's under Dr. Kissinger the USA financial and political clout was used to suppress the hashish industry in Afghanistan so that now that country allegedly produces over 90% of the world's opium.)

2. The reason Big Tobackgo doesn't mind a plague of opiate-addiction around the world is that it is more afraid of cannabis than of opium. It promotes folk fallacies such as the false belief that cannabis is an opiate ("dope"), as a neat excuse for suppressing cannabis, which teaches its users moderation (single-toke utensil) whereas the tobackgo profit margin is based on pushing packloads of hot-burning overdose cigarets. Tobackgo industry agents slip money to film-makers who introduce anti-cannabis slang or hot-burning overdose joints (whichever is more feasable from case to case) into movies which involve cannabis.

3, Lead is probably very dangerous-- almost as dangerous as mixing tobacco in with the weed and getting hooked on nicotine, with a 40% chance of life-shortening illness (not to mention tens of thousands out of the family estate you will spend on blood pressure medicine in your last 2 decades).

4. The poor suckers who mix with tobacco also miss their chance to tell by taste if there are contaminants in the riefer. By burning the herb too hot with the assistance of added tobacco, they increase the amount of lead or other poison that can be vaporized and inhaled.

5. Did you notice the words "What a dope!" plastered on the wirephoto of the star athlete using a bong? Big Tobackgo does NOT want anyone using a bong instead of high-profit, highly taxed hot-burning cigarets.

We regularly get flooded with the contaminated ones, no way is this unflushed or weed with too many nutrients etc.... someones done something with these ones to increase weight most probably.

When u smoke the one that gives hard greasy ash, u can tell it's sprayed and stops the proper thc trichomes burning resulting in a weird high (which also maybe related to the crap they are spraying on it. Its full of fake crystals, something was definately added to it, and its obvious.

The other one we get is the talcum powder one (well i think, just way more powder than it shud and has a chemically aftertaste). this one gave me mouth ulcers and makes my sinuses swell up.

Just looked up the symptoms of lead poisoning and i've got a few of them. :\

What if the gritweed I was smoking a few years back was sprayed with lead? People should try and post pics of lead contaminated bud so we can try and avoid it!

The first rule is don't look up symptoms of illnesses - trust me, it's a scary thing to do unless you enjoy being a hypochondriac.

If you've got lead poisoning you'll know it, somehow I doubt it!

That said, do be careful.

very good advise that derek. the worst possible thing any one can do when there ill is check there symptoms on the internet to try and self diagnose them selves. it can very easily turn even strong minded people into a hypocondriac.

i woud be suprised if lead was ever used to contaminate weed any way. lead dust/particles woud look nothing like thc.

Lead can and has been used, it has poisoned various people.

The main difference to this and the 'normal' contamination is that the poisoning for lead is pretty quick, Silicosis can take years...

I guess we will start to see the effect of the mass contamination of 2006+ in the next few years.

I fear I will be one of the casualties.

i agree completley, we need to able to send this foul stuff somewhere to be anaysed.
