Fresh input on the evil grit

Hi people,
I'm new on the forum so I thought I would start by mentioning that grit is indeed a problem which isn't dying out and people selling grit with pure ignorance should line up on a bridge and jump into a river (Preferably not the Thames).
With all humorous approaches aside however, I would like to congratulate everyone at UKCIA for really pushing it to make the public aware of contaminated cannabis. I really feel it's made a difference. Kids nowadays aren't "that" conscious about their own decisions, thinking that if Snoop Dogg does it, it should be fine. However this not being said of all youths nowadays, the clever batch will still try their weed (there's nothing stupid about enjoying one of nature's gifts) but will also engage into at least a google-it of a research plan to inform themselves on what they get themselves into.
When you do search online for hazards regarding cannabis, you don't get the usual media twisted crap being put out there about something that we all know is least harmful to the body than alcohol! I was amazed and very glad to see that the whole grit weed thing is coming up on the Internet A LOT and this is excellent as it will in due turn make cannabis users choose a healthier route to enjoying their green.
Nothing new said there, however I do want to mention that I have found the odd one or two folks that claim they can clean the grit and all that, or even eat it in a cooking session with some space sweets. If anyone like that happens to stumble across this post, then please take regard to the simple fact that if someone pushing out weed is gritting the stuff with silica or glass, you can imagine that the grit weed is possible or even likely to contain something that isn't as detectable as glass. Having said that, you would imagine that a person wanting to profit from the cannabis by doing anything sinister will also add a hell of a lot more things that could potentially be invisible to the eye such as chemicals and the sort. I am not a master grower, in fact I haven't grown green at all in my life, but still, you have to wonder how sinister of an operation it could be. Contamination implies a lot more than just grit, it implies that someone out there is willing to use malicious means to profit without regard to the users.
There have been cases where the first toke tasted as if it was laced with the most screwed up chemicals in the world. A lot like the difference between organic tobacco and your classic boxed up 400+ chemical containing cigarette if any of you have tried both to know the difference. So therefore, I urge people to have additional caution, and not to think that finding a way of getting rid of the grit will effectively solve the problem.
This morning I also stumbled upon a few questions on the net about cooking the grit, thus not breathing in the nasty additives to the cannabis. I know of a personal case where grit was cooked and the next morning anal bleeding occurred, from an experienced smoker of which has not had any health issues for the most part of his life. This isn't saying that the grit did it, but it has to make one wonder.
Not wanting to be the wise Ganja Jedi here, I'm just another concerned member of the public like all of you out there and wanted to add my two pence. I'm sure there will be people reading this that have a lot more experience and knowledge than what I do and please don't misunderstand my post as lecturing. It isn't. I'm just as concerned as everyone else.
Smoke Safely,
