Long time no see and all that.

I've just started smoking again after a gap of almost 3 years and I'm so glad to be back in my hazy bubble again...like meeting up with a close friend after a long time apart.

I stopped smoking almost 3 years ago due to finance, re-location and all the gritty crap that was around in those days. Now I'm toking again I can't believe the changes that have gone on...

Before I quit I could always get good quality weed (only ever got grit a couple of times and had the kind of dealers who would refund you for crap weed so was pretty lucky in that sense) for £20's on the 8th always weighing up perfectly now smoking again and all thats about is crap weed for £25 quid for 2.5 grams, not sure if I missed something here but I must have missed the news the day they changed the weight system, although at least I weigh more if theres now 2.5 grams to an 8th and only 20 grams to an ounce! Seriously, WTF happened, yeah I guess prices go up over time but surely £30 for an 8th would be better than a rip off 2.5g bag!

Now I'm a little out of touch with things at the moment, what's the situation with the grit weed? has if gone for good or do I just have a clean supply? I know there was a lot of nasty additives being added back then, did it just die out or did it get worse?

Also, want to know what the deal is with the old bill at the mo, I know it went back up to class B but did this change anything or is it the same as before? Basically am I safe if I'm sensible or are we all at risk now? Noticed the yanks seem to be doing a little better than us, seems like the medicinal scene is really kicking off over there and I loved reading an article the other day about Cali and Colorado having a bit of a growing war and always trying to get one-up on each-other in terms of quality. However I'm also mighty pissed that the yanky stoner seems pretty safe (guess it depends which state) yet we're still being persecuted, always though there love for the war on drugs would leave them in the dark ages while the rest of us were enlightened however it now seems to me that they have a more open outlook to our beloved ganja. Have to admit, other than the odd state, I figured there'd be suffering draconian laws way after we were allowed to get on with our own lives and have a little privacy, maybe I was just being hopeful!

Sorry for the rant but guess I just want things to be how they used to be and wasn't prepared for change, o wells, back to the bong, how great it feels to have her back in my hand.

Hope some of the lot I used to talk with are still about, and if he's still around, Coastalad, please feel free to make any dumbass comment you wish (sorry Derek but it's for old times sake and all that).

Coasty pops up from time to time but hasn't been around for a while - hope he's OK.

As regards the rest of the UK scene I've been out of it (so to speak) for a while now myself so can't really say what supplies are like, but there's a lot of contam around from what I hear on here.

Good to see your still about, are you still up in Norwich, I'm up there a bit myself at the mo as my girlfriend works 2 days a week in North Walsham and one day in Wymondham. Hope your doing ok and lifes treating you well.

The weed (although granted I've not seen a lot recently) seems ok quality and its clean in Chelmsford but its just the quantities I can't get over, people selling it are paying £200 on the ounce (which do weigh up) so they have to knock it out at 2.5g just so they get a little to smoke themselves. Guess it's even more reason to grow your own, but I'd need a strain with a very quick growing time as I get my flat inspected every 3 months so would be very risky trying to grow between inspections.

I've noticed a few familar names while I've been having a browse, good to see its not gone completely to pot (sorry, couldn't resist) but it does seem a bit quieter round these parts now, although maybe thats just Coasty not being about as much.

we get 1 gram tens now around hear aswell mate, 2 gram- 2.5 gram for 20 quid and 3.5 for 25 quid if your lucky. its mostly quality bud though, so cant complain realy.

I had a similar experience after a long break.

Many people seem to think of it as a drug now, cutting it, short weighting etc.

Also the price in Dam has jumped right up & people seem to fantasize aout making similar profits themselves & try to charge the same prices even though its often low quality.

In london Police have asked me a number of times to inspect my roll-up, to see if it's a joint. I aways say "if you cant smell it its not a joint" but they dont listen.

I think we are going back to an 80's style vibe, but with more hard drugs around.

In relation to the police i had an experience similar to yours but they were CID cops , stopped the car in double yellow lines garbed my hand and took the roll up of my hands and smelled it, I dont even got a criminal record, And I did ask him if he had nothing better to do, but he was so pissed of he didn't even answered and got back in the car. idiots!!!!

As regards prices, its supply & demand. If we refuse to pay these prices then the price will come down. I think that if you have the "ive gotta have it, all the time" attitude then you are very easy to manipulate, just like a junky. Personally I refuse to pay more than £10 for a gram for cannabis or £3 for a pint, ever. However good it is -even if it's gold plated.

Lets face it, cannabis can be very nice -but is just isnn't addictive. In Holland they give very good and practical advice about "drugs". The standard advice about cannabis is this:

"if you feel you need to make buy more cannabis before you run out, then you are becoming psychologically dependant and should take a short break before buying more. Everyone is different, but works well for many people is to try to leave a period of 48 hours after running out before buying more".

You might be right there in relation on the "I have to have it" all the time attitude, but is one of those things in my case I don't drink alcohol, a spliff is my pint as well as my medication because I have ADHD, and it helps me concentrating as well as calm me down. I could be on medication but i chose to have 2 or 3 spliffs every day.

Thanks for the advice it actually works, I was going to stop smoking it all together but I just going to live it a bit longer in between deals for my dealer don`t think he have me eating of his hands, but see, in any business you should look after you best clients, why has to be any different in this one?
