Mark
Gibson's (THC4MS) speech to the Cannabis Education Rally, Trafalgar Square,
London 15th May 2005
I have
with my wife Lezley been publicly campaigning for the legalisation of
cannabis for spiritual, recreational and medicinal use for over 10 years
now. During which time I have made and lost some great and inspirational
friends.
In
particular the Late Biz Ivol and Late Bill Reeves both of the Orkney Isles
founders of Canna-Biz chocolate which later became Therapeutic Help From
Cannabis for MS.
The
downgrading of cannabis to class C has not been in favour of the medicinal
user, as demand has gone up medicinal users of cannabis have found it
increasingly more difficult to source a supply. To compound the situation
3 respected medi-coops are on bail including 2 key workers of THC4MS .
They may or may not face charges relating to the supply of cannabis products
to the sick and disabled Pending a decision by the Court of Appeal.
THC4MS has continued the work of Biz and Bill almost unhindered and has
now produced and despatched over 22,000 cannabis chocolate bars to over
1,200 MS sufferers. We will continue to do so until there is a viable
alternative available from the pharmacy.
In
memory of those who have campaigned for the right to legally medicate
with cannabis, and have never realised that dream I now publicly request
- no, DEMAND - that the Crown Prosecution Service, Government and
it's agents immediately call an amnesty on medicinal cannabis users and
their suppliers.
THC4MS with the help of the UK underground growing community, cannabis
publications and a dedicated group of campaigners are doing for free today
what the pharmaceutical companies will make millions from tomorrow. On
behalf of the recipients I would like to thank the anonymous growers who
freely donate their surplus crop for no other reason than to selflessly
help others. Without your help our work could not continue.
From
Nature out of necessity NO victim no crime!
